Why Affordibility and Jobs Matter Here
Across the country and here in North Carolina, “inflation and costs” consistently rank as voters’ top concern, with many people naming it as one of their top two issues. Housing and rising medical costs are at the center of are at the center of their anxiety. Roughly one in four households are struggling with rent or mortgage payments. At the same time, higher medical insurance premiums and instability in health coverage have left many families paying more and worrying about how they will afford care when they need it.

What We Support
Some heading text needed
- Putting working families first by lowering everyday costs—especially for housing, health care, childcare, food, and utilities—rather than giving more breaks to those at the very top.
- An economic strategy that tackles inflation while protecting jobs, including fair wages, support for small businesses, and investments in communities across North Carolina.
- Tax and budget choices that prioritize the middle class and seniors, instead of policies that leave most families paying more and getting less.
- Long‑term growth that is broadly shared, so when the economy grows, paychecks and opportunities grow for everyone—not just in a few booming ZIP codes.
