The Blue Beacons' Mission and Values
Founded in 2023, the Blue Beacons' mission is to provide our community of voters with a collective voice, identity, and vehicle for action. We advocate for effective government that serves and responds to the community's needs and engages citizens in political and civic activities. The Blue Beacons are entirely funded by donations and run solely by volunteers, emphasizing grassroots involvement.
The Blue Beacons' Activities and Programs
The Blue Beacons are an all-volunteer, nonpartisan grassroots organization dedicated to empowering voters and supporting candidates who will serve and respond to our community's needs. We fight unsafe drinking water, overcrowded schools, unchecked growth, and an economy that no longer works for many of our friends and neighbors.
The Blue Beacons organize a variety of initiatives to encourage community participation and promote voter engagement.
● Educational programs, workshops, and newsletters on local, statewide, national issues
● Community service events to support local food banks and organizations that support those who are in need in our community
● Calls to action with our elected representatives
● Campaign support for candidates who share our values
● Voter education and participation
The Blue Beacons are playing a key role in energizing voters in a traditionally conservative area and have a history of supporting significant campaigns, including those of former Governor Roy Cooper-2026 candidate for United States Senate; NC Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls; Dr. Kimberly Hardy-2026 candidate for United States House of Representatives, NC-7; and Scott Nasiff-2026 candidate for NC House of Representatives, Dist. 19.
